11/14/2004 - Dance to Honor Daniel at the United Houma Nation celebration

-  Daniel and Claudia paddled down Bayou Lafourche as part of a very strong educational program by BTNEP to inform us all about the loss of wetlands. As we know Hurricane Katrina showed us the importance of these wetland for MANY reasons.

- Daniel's spirit was honored that night at the United Houma Nation celebration. A dance was performed and a red blanket was presented in his honor.  People spoke of his giving spirit, his love of people, and his love of dance.  We also found out that Daniel had been talking about special youth paddles, for kids in need of help.. Kerry St. Pe told us how Daniel is still helping to build his kayak, since Daniel advised Kerry he needed a thinking chair.  I saw, and sat in, that thinking chair. Daniel is with us ! ! !
